Neil Steenkamp

Neil Steenkamp is a Software Engineer at DataProphet, having held this position since July 2021 after progressing from a Junior Software Engineer. Prior to this role, Neil gained extensive teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Town, supporting various engineering courses from 2015 to 2020, focusing on subjects including Process Control, Digital Signals Processing, and Microprocessors. Neil holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, specializing in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Robotics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechatronics, both from the University of Cape Town. Additional experience includes assisting an industrial designer and interning at Amandla Mozamique, where skills in technical repairs and installations were developed.
