Bram Verbeke

Bram Verbeke has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at dataroots since March 2020. In this role, they have been responsible for delivering and evaluating a set of recommendation models for an E-commerce company. Bram has explored various recommendation engines, including content-based, collaborative filtering, hybrid LightFM, and boosting approaches. This project has had a significant impact on the client's sales.

Prior to their current role, Bram worked at EY as an Automation Engineer/Scrum Master from September 2018 to March 2020. Bram also briefly served as a Data Scientist at EY from September 2018 to December 2018.

Bram Verbeke has a strong educational background in mathematics and applied mathematics. Bram began their academic journey at Ghent University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from 2013 to 2016. Bram continued their studies at Ghent University and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Mathematics from 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Bram Verbeke has also pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in different domains. Bram obtained the Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera in May 2022. In December 2020, they achieved the Professional Scrum Master Level I certification from Scrum.org. Bram also holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification, which they obtained in May 2020 from Microsoft. In April 2020, they earned the Tableau Data Scientist certification from Tableau Software. Furthermore, Bram Verbeke also gained expertise as a Blue Prism Certified Developer in May 2019 from Blue Prism. Most recently, in December 2021, they became a Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 through Databricks.
