Arvydas Jonusonis started their career in 1999 as an Intern at the Photothermal and Opto-electronic Diagnostics Laboratory. Arvydas then worked as an Engineer Assistant at Photothermal Diagnostics, Inc. from 2002 to 2004. Arvydas subsequently worked as a Web Developer at Hamon & Associates in 2005. From 2006 to 2010, they served as a Senior Developer & System Operations Supervisor at 24-7 Commercial Marketing, where they automated processes and integrated remittance processors. Arvydas joined ReachLocal in 2010 and held multiple roles, including Sr. Software Engineer, Dev Lead (Core Services), and Dev Lead (FAST team). Arvydas worked on various initiatives such as ITIL problems, security vulnerabilities, and data migrations. Arvydas also worked on maintaining and troubleshooting Cassandra infrastructure. In 2015, they joined textPlus, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer on the Platform Team. In 2016, they worked at Teads.tv as a Cassandra Architect / Data Analytics Developer. In 2018, they worked as a Cassandra Consultant at textPlus, Inc. and later joined DataStax as a Premium Support Engineer.

Arvydas Jonusonis completed their undergraduate education at the University of Toronto from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a focus on Computer. In 2013, they attended Integrallis, where they pursued a custom-tailored course in BDD/Rails. In the same year, they also obtained a certification as a DataStax Certified Developer in Cassandra 2.0 (CQL3). In 2012, Arvydas undertook training in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Arvydas received training in Cassandra from Riptano (currently DataStax) in 2010. In 2009, they completed a training course in Spring Core (2.5) from SpringSource Training. Furthermore, Arvydas has acquired additional certifications, including Data Modeling for Cassandra 2.1 from Datastax in 2015. In 2016, they pursued online courses, including an Intro to Functional Programming with Scala from Coursera.org and an Intro to Docker from LinuxAcademy.com.
