Dakshina Murthy Tananki

Dakshina Murthy Tananki has a comprehensive work experience in the field of database administration. Dakshina Murthy began their career as an Oracle Application DBA at CMC LTD in 2007, where they specialized in tasks such as cloning instances and running AD utilities. Dakshina Murthy then joined Oracle India Pvt. Ltd as a Consultant in 2010, focusing on tasks such as applying patches to development and test instances. In 2012, they transitioned to Cisco, where they assumed the roles of Cassandra DBA and Oracle Core/Apps DBA. At Cisco, they were responsible for installing, configuring, and monitoring DSE Cassandra clusters, as well as gathering requirements and planning for multi-data center clusters. Dakshina Murthy also provided extensive support to the production environments. In 2017, Dakshina Murthy Tananki joined Athene USA as a Cassandra DBA and Oracle Core/Apps DBA. In this role, they worked on DSE installations and upgrades, provided 24/7 support to the Cassandra production environment, and set up Opscenters for multiple clusters. Dakshina Murthy worked at Athene USA until 2019. Dakshina Murthy then transitioned to Netcracker Technology in the same year, where they held the role of Senior Database Administrator. Currently, Dakshina is employed at IBM as a Senior Database Administrator since 2020 and at DataStax as a Premium Engineer since 2022.

Dakshina Murthy Tananki completed a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Andhra University, spanning from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Acharya Nagarjuna University, which they pursued from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Dakshina has acquired several certifications. In 2022, they obtained the following certifications from DataStax: Apache Cassandra 3 Developer Associate Certification, Apache Cassandra Operations in Kubernetes Associate, and Apache Cassandra 3 Administrator Associate Certification.
