Samuel Matioli

Samuel Matioli has a strong background in technology and consulting, with extensive experience as a Solutions Architect and CTO. Samuel is currently working at DataStax as a Solutions Architect & Developer Advocate. Prior to this, they were the Technology Manager at Grupo GBI.

Samuel also founded and served as the CTO of SM22 Tech, a consulting startup that focuses on helping other consulting companies incorporate new practices and develop complex solutions. In this role, they were responsible for pre-sales processes, technical design, and providing leadership and guidance to the development team.

Before starting their own company, Samuel worked as a PreSales Architect at NS8, where they enabled customers to improve fraud analysis on their e-commerce platforms using advanced analytics. Samuel also served as the CTO at CuidarSe, a healthcare solution that utilized data to help users find the best prices and availability for purchasing products.

Samuel's earlier work includes roles as a Solution Architect at Sonda and Keyrus, a Software Engineer at Keyrus, and a SAP BI/BPC Architect at Datum TI. Samuel began their career as a Solution Architect at Sonda IT and Neoris.

Samuel Matioli's education history includes a degree in Sistemas de Informação (Information Systems) from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André. Samuel obtained this degree from 2003 to 2006. In addition, they attended Tera in 2018 to study Data Science and Machine Learning for Business, although they did not complete a degree during this time.

Samuel Matioli has also obtained several certifications over the years. In 2016, they obtained the C_EPMBPC_10 - SAP BPC Business Planning and Consolidation 10.0 certification from SAP. In 2009, they earned the Cognos 8 BI Data Warehouses certification as an IBM Certified Developer. More recently, in 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Apache Cassandra 3 Developer Associate Certification from DataStax, and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification, also from AWS. Samuel has plans to obtain the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google Cloud in 2023.
