Vanessa Straube

Vanessa Straube has a diverse work experience in the field of design and technology. Vanessa is currently working at DataStax as a Visual Designer, where they are involved in rebranding website pages and enhancing the overall user experience. Vanessa collaborates closely with the marketing team to create wireframes that align with their requirements and manages the components library for consistency across the design system.

Prior to their current role, Vanessa co-founded Straube - Design & Tech in 2014. At Straube, they worked on various projects, taking on different roles including frontend development, UI and UX design. Vanessa also helped clients identify how their products should be built considering market fit and other variables.

Before that, Vanessa worked at AMP.build as a Visual Designer for DataStax. Vanessa developed new web pages and components that aligned with the established visual identity and collaborated with the Creative Director and UX team to transform wireframes into visually appealing designs.

Vanessa also worked at Autoconf as a UX Designer, where they played a lead role in graphic design, branding, and primarily focused on UX and UI design. Vanessa led and contributed to significant evolutions, including a complete application redesign based on industry shifts. Vanessa extensively used user research to shape the next release of the product.

At Likewise, Vanessa started as a Graphic Design Intern and later worked as a Designer. Vanessa was involved in the conception and design of websites and various advertisement pieces.

Vanessa's early career experience includes working at CodeKings as a Frontend Developer, where they gained expertise in HTML and CSS while working on projects primarily based on WordPress.

Vanessa Straube has a diverse education history. Vanessa attended the Federal University of Technology - Parana from 2011 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Additionally, they pursued further education at the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2014 to 2015, completing another Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Prior to their studies in graphic design, Vanessa studied Business Administration and Management at the Universidade Federal do Paraná from 2005 to 2008, where they received a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree.
