Wei Loon Cheng

Wei Loon Cheng has a diverse range of work experience. Wei Loon is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Datature since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Robotics Research Intern at DSO National Laboratories from March 2021 to September 2021. Wei Loon also worked as an Undergraduate Tutor at Imperial College London from November 2020 to June 2021. Wei Loon Cheng gained experience in data science and artificial intelligence through internships at HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) from September 2020 to December 2020 and at Shopee from June 2020 to August 2020. Wei Loon was also a Facebook Hack-A-Project Mentee at Facebook from January 2020 to February 2020. Before that, they served in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) as a Tank Company Sergeant Major from January 2016 to November 2017. Wei Loon Cheng completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science at ETH Zürich from 2021 to 2022. Before that, from 2018 to 2022, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronic & Information Engineering with a Year Abroad at Imperial College London. Prior to their university studies, Wei Loon Cheng obtained a High School Diploma from Hwa Chong Institution in 2015. Wei Loon also earned a Middle School Diploma from Hwa Chong Institution from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Wei Loon Cheng obtained several certifications. In 2020, they earned certifications such as "Advanced ML: ML Infrastructure," "Integrate with Machine Learning APIs," "Google Cloud Solutions II: Data and Machine Learning," "Intermediate ML: TensorFlow on GCP," "Intro to ML: Image Processing," and "Intro to ML: Language Processing" from Qwiklabs. Wei Loon also obtained the "Programming Foundations: Design Patterns" certification from LinkedIn in the same year. Furthermore, in 2018, they became an Associate Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
