Dr. Shuki Idan

Dr. Shuki Idan has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Shuki currently holds the position of Chief Scientist at DataX since January 2024, where they previously served as the Chief Executive Officer from September 2021 to January 2024. Dr. Idan also worked at SCB - Siam Commercial Bank as an Advisor to the CEO of SCBX and DataX CEO from September 2021 to March 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Data Science at Agoda from August 2019 to September 2021. Dr. Idan served as a member of the Advisory Board at ciValue, a SaaS start-up, from June 2017 to August 2019, where they focused on identifying new application domains and defining new product extensions. Dr. Shuki also worked as the Chief Data Scientist at Yael Group from October 2017 to July 2019, leading a team of 50 data scientists, engineers, and analysts providing services to large enterprises across various Data Science and AI domains.

Before these roles, Dr. Idan held prominent positions at SAP, serving as the Global Head of Product and Solutions Management for Big Data Decision Management products from January 2013 to 2017. Dr. Shuki also served as the Global Head of Technology for Reinforcement Learning based Products from July 2007 to December 2012. Prior to SAP, Dr. Idan worked at Amdocs, where they bootstrapped and grew an Analytical CRM business unit, serving as the Director and Head of Amdocs Business Insights from February 1998 to October 2002.

Dr. Idan began their career at RADVISION as a Chief Scientist from June 1995 to 1996, researching and demonstrating innovations in multimedia communications. Dr. Shuki also worked at ESPCI ParisTech as a Researcher and Faculty member, focusing on Control, Machine Learning, and Recurrent Neural Networks from September 1992 to September 1995. Throughout their career, Dr. Shuki Idan has been involved in various industries such as telecommunications, finance, retail, healthcare, and technology, contributing their expertise in data science, AI, and decision management.

Dr. Shuki Idan attended Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1983, where they earned a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering. Dr. Shuki then pursued graduate studies in Artificial Intelligence at Weizmann Institute of Science from 1984 to 1988. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Computer Science from Télécom Paris from 1988 to 1992.
