Kate Edgar Owen

Kate Edgar Owen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Kate has worked as the Head of Product Design at Dave since 2023. Prior to that, they were an Advisor at Rippleworks and a Customer Experience Advisor at Verqor, both in 2023. From 2015 onwards, they worked as a Design Consultant, Advisor, Speaker, and Coach at various leading global design conferences. From 2020 to 2023, Kate held multiple roles at Nubank, including Director of Design, Research, & Creative for Mexico + Colombia, and Director of Product Design for the same region. Kate also worked at Capital One as the Head of Emerging Tech Design, Senior Manager of Integrated Experiences, and Manager of Design from 2016 to 2020. Kate also served as the Lead Service Experience Designer at Adaptive Path from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Business Innovation Lead at WSUP - Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor from 2014 to 2016. Kate's experience also includes working as an Ethnographer at Bassett & Partners Inc. and as an Ethnographic Design Researcher at Point Forward.

Kate Edgar Owen completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design with a focus in Hispanic Studies from Carnegie Mellon University from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, they also studied Industrial Design at Universidad de Málaga.
