Theresa Beer

Theresa Beer is an experienced communications specialist with a strong background in media relations, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Communications Specialist for the Western Canada Region at The David Suzuki Foundation since September 2012, Theresa develops communications strategies and manages media relations within a collaborative regional office environment. Previous roles include Communications and Policy Specialist for the Marine Planning Partnership for the North Pacific Coast, and Communications Strategist for the City of Vancouver, where Theresa led communications portfolios on significant initiatives like EcoDensity and Greenest City 2020. Additional experience includes communications consulting for the B.C. Centre for Disease Control and a communications coordinator role with the British Columbia Teachers' Federation. Theresa holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Western University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
