Mitch Anstey

Associate Professor Of Chemistry

Mitch Anstey is currently an Assistant Professor at Davidson College, a position held since July 2016. Prior to this, Mitch was a Visiting Researcher Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, for a short term in 2016. Mitch's extensive experience at Sandia National Laboratories from July 2009 to April 2016 included roles as Principal Member of the Technical Staff, Senior Member of the Technical Staff, and Postdoctoral Appointee, focusing on the development of new hydrogen-containing materials for mobile hydrogen storage applications. Previously, Mitch studied as a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2004 to 2009, where the research concentrated on Carbon-Hydrogen bond activation using organometallic species. Mitch earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.
