Carlos T. Jackson has a diverse work experience. Carlos T. began their career in 1992 as a United States Marine and held this role until their retirement. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of a Program Coordinator, which lasted until 2020. In the same year, they became the Commanding Officer of the Weapons & Field Training Battalion. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor for Davis Defense Group, Inc. starting in 2012. Carlos T. also served as the Commanding Officer of the Combat Assault Battalion from 2014 to 2017.

Carlos T. Jackson began their education in 1991 at Tuskegee University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1996, they went on to further their education and knowledge in various fields. In 1997, they attended The Basic School, focusing on Military Strategic Studies. Carlos T. then enrolled at Marine Corps University in 2003, specializing in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies.

Seeking further academic advancement, Carlos pursued a Master of Arts degree at American Military University between 2005 and 2009, concentrating on Military Strategic Intelligence. Additionally, in 2008, they attended the Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University, specializing in Military Joint Operations Planning and Strategy.

Carlos's commitment to education continued in 2017 when they joined the National War College, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy. During their time at the National War College, they focused their studies on Applied and Professional Ethics. Carlos completed their master's degree in 2018.
