Jason Karvelot

Jason Karvelot has over 25 years of experience in meteorology, currently serving as the Resident Meteorologist at Davis Instruments since February 1998. In this role, Jason evaluates the quality of weather instrument products, develops the NIST traceability program, and formulates approaches to enhance product performance against WMO/NOAA standards. Jason has contributed to the development of new products, including the Davis forecast algorithm, and generates ideas from extensive research and feedback. Prior to this, Jason worked as an End of Voyage Specialist at Weathernews and as a Weather Segment Producer/Intern at KHIZ-TV Channel 64. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from San Jose State University.
