Matt Dyke began their work experience in 2000 at Hilti, where they worked as a Technical Sales Manager and later as a Regional Fire Protection Manager. Matt consistently met sales targets and significantly grew turnover during their time there. In 2008, they joined The Dow Chemical Company as a UK & Ireland Distributor Manager and eventually became the UK & Ireland Core Composites Manager and EMEA Marketing Manager for Refrigerated Transportation. Matt led various projects, formulated strategic marketing plans, and managed business development. In 2016, they joined Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems (UK) Ltd. as a Key Account Manager and later became the Head of Sales. Matt led teams, managed departmental sales performance, and coordinated whole-account activities and strategy. In 2022, they joined Dawsongroup plc as the Head of Sales.

Matt Dyke attended Tupton Hall School from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained 9 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels. Following this, they studied at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1996 to 2000, earning a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.
