Ron Kaer

Ron Kaer has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Ron began their career as a Field Engineer at Bechtel Corporation in 1976 and worked there until 1979. Ron then worked in various companies, providing Quality and Project Management services to Nuclear, Industrial, Commercial, Chemical, Governmental, and Medical entities from 1979 to 1985.

From 1985 to 2003, they served as the Regional Quality Manager at URS Corporation, where they managed multiple projects in Petrochemical, Utility, Power, and Government sectors. Ron was responsible for staffing, program development, client interface, project reporting, scheduling, and oversight.

From 2003 to 2007, Ron Kaer owned and operated a consulting firm called Technical Assurance Services, Kaer Consulting. Ron'sservices included consulting, independent project management, management assessment, and engineering services for fabricators, architect/engineering firms, construction contractors, utilities, and oil/gas companies. During this time, they also provided project management for a $44MM repair and replacement project for a fossil fuel facility.

Ron then worked at MetaPower, Inc. as a Process Safety Management specialist from 2007 to 2008, before joining URS Corporation again as a Senior Nuclear QA Manager from 2008 to 2013.

In 2013, Ron Kaer worked as a Senior Quality Consultant for various Energy/AQCS projects in the US, where they acted as a Quality Management representative for a Midwest utility for their AQCS project.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked at SCANA - System One as a Supplier Oversight representative. Ron was responsible for overseeing and reporting the performance of AP1000 Module Suppliers as the Owner's Resident Inspector at Shield Building fabrication facilities.

From 2017 to 2019, Ron Kaer served as the Chief Operating Officer at HII Mechanical, where they were responsible for the safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance of all product fabrication activities. Ron provided direction and reviewed the performance of various managers and reported to the Vice President of HII Mechanical.

Ron'smost recent position is as the Vice President of Quality & Technical Support at Day & Zimmermann, where they have been since 2019.

Ron Kaer attended Old Dominion University from 1975 to 1976. Following that, they went on to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Berks from 1976 to 1978. The field of study and degree obtained are not provided for either educational institution.
