Daystar Power Group is a Pan-African provider of solar and hybrid power solutions, offering its systems on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), fixed monthly fee lease, or buy-out basis. All our solutions are accompanied by comprehensive maintenance services, to ensure the solutions run 365 days a year. We are currently operational in seven countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Senegal, and Ivory Coast, and have recently launched in South Africa and Tanzania.

We are looking to engage a competent and experienced Associate, Sales Engineer, the ideal candidate shall be responsible for driving and expanding the company's footprint in Ghana. We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and well-organised individuals with a focus on continuous improvement to exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sales Engineering and Business Development
  1. Leading client conversations through emails, phone calls and in-person meetings
  2. Performing energy audits on client sites
  3. Designing of photovoltaic systems (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid)
  4. Developing sales proposals to drive the sales process
  5. Preparing and submitting tender documents (including specifications, bill of quantities, drawings, etc.) and designs as per requirements
  6. Driving the full sales process from proposal drafting to contract execution; and
  7. Working with the legal department in respect of all draft agreements and legal documents in connection with your role.
  • Project Management
  1. Developing project plans to execute sales contracts
  2. Designing and planning solar power installations
  3. Leading the supply chain process including sourcing and ordering parts internationally and locally
  4. Conducting quality assurance of technical installations of both Daystar’s team as well as the installations of our technical partners
  5. Directing, coordinating and supervising the installations of solar power solutions; and
  6. Training clients on the operation and optimal utilization of systems.
  • Service Management
  1. Actively monitoring site performance and preparation of monthly reports for clients
  2. Serving as the first line of contact for any client complaints
  3. Resolving site issues remotely and through site visits; and
  4. Ensuring customer satisfaction.
  5. Any other activities, as may be communicated by Daystar from time to time.
