Andrea Horton-Meriçli

Andrea Horton-Meriçli is the Program Director at East Allegheny PA CareerLink in Pittsburgh, PA. She has over 12 years of experience working in workforce development roles in Kansas, Texas, and Pennsylvania. In addition, Andrea has experience teaching in low-income schools in Austin, TX as well as teaching English as a Foreign Language in Istanbul, Turkey. Before coming to Grant Associates, she worked at a local Title II nonprofit supervising a DHS grant providing service coordination to immigrant households while performing the role of career counselor for adult education students, allowing her to combine her passion for helping refugees and immigrants, low-income individuals, and those facing educational gaps to help them reach their career and higher education goals. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Diversity & Inclusion certificate from Cornell University. She currently serves on the Allegheny County DHS Community Services Advisory Council, the Pittsburgh Job Corps Community Relations Council (CRC) Board, and the board of the Career Counselors’ Consortium Northeast.
