Carissa Hill

Carissa Hill is an experienced educator and librarian currently serving as the sole Librarian at District of Columbia International School since October 2020. In addition to this role, Carissa has coached various high school volleyball teams, including serving as Head Coach for both the Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity teams. Carissa has also taken on responsibilities as a long-term substitute Middle School French Teacher and has worked as a Library and Ed Tech Specialist, focusing on promoting equity, student engagement, and digital literacy among students in Grades 6-12. Other experiences include organizing a cultural exchange trip to France and Belgium, working as a Dedicated Aide for students with disabilities, and holding coaching and internship positions while pursuing advanced degrees in education and curriculum instruction. Carissa’s educational background includes a Master of Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
