India Holmes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. India started their career as an intern at Quintessentially and IQ Private in 2009. India then interned at Proud Gallery, The Outsiders Gallery, and The Biscuit Factory Gallery in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Sales Associate at Moniker Projects and as a Wine Department staff and Client Services staff at Bonhams. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as an Interior Designer at Lambart and Browne Limited. India then served as an Art Director at Chiltern Firehouse - Andre Balazs Properties from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are the Design Director at de Gournay, managing a team of 25 designers and overseeing design work for both in-house and clients.

India Holmes has a diverse education history. In 2002, they attended Heathfield School Ascot, where they pursued their studies up until 2009. India then continued their education at Northumbria University from 2010 to 2011, where they focused on Contemporary Photography. In 2012, India enrolled in two separate programs: Art and Business at Sotheby's Institute of Art and another program at the College of Public Speaking. In 2014, they attended the University of the Arts London and completed a short course in Interior Design and Decoration. Additionally, during the same year, India also attended the Michael Schuster Fine Wine Course. Finally, in 2015, they briefly attended the Inchbald School of Design, specializing in Interior Design and completing a Vectorworks Level 1 program.
