Rutger Pontzen

Rutger Pontzen is an experienced editor and senior art critic at de Volkskrant since September 2002, also contributing as an art critic at Vrij Nederland, a Dutch weekly publication. Prior to this, Rutger served as an art critic for Vrij Nederland from September 1992 to September 2002, and held the position of former editor at Metropolis M Magazine, focusing on contemporary art between 1992 and 1998. Rutger Pontzen pursued education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, graduating between 1988 and 1993.
