Shree D N has a diverse work experience spanning over 19 years. Starting in 2000 as a Television News Producer for ETV News - Kannada, they gained experience in TV production and worked independently on programs and live events. In 2006, they transitioned to the advertising industry as an Account Executive, handling media planning, advertising creations, and client servicing at THINK IMC.

In 2007, Shree D N joined Kasthuri Media Pvt Ltd as a Programme Producer and later became a District News Coordinator. They then moved on to Suvarna News 24X7, where they worked as an Associate Producer, leading the production team and establishing the workflow for special programs news production.

Shree D N also worked as a Freelance Translator and Script Writer, providing services such as video script writing, translations, and editing. They also worked as a consultant for PR and Advertising during this time.

From 2011 to 2013, they held the role of Senior Sub Editor at The New Indian Express before joining Oorvani Media in 2013 as an Associate Editor for Citizen Matters. During their time at Oorvani Media, they became a Fact Check trainer for Google News Initiative and participated in the Editor's Hackthon conducted in Bengaluru. They also represented Oorvani Foundation as a fellow in the Global Investigative Journalism Conference held in Nepal.

Currently, Shree D N is working as the Chief Sub Editor for Deccan Herald, where they handle a civic reportage section called Point Blank, as well as Science/environment and education+ career supplements. They are passionate about cities, environment, data, politics, policy, elections, cinema, and society.

Shree D N completed a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication & Journalism from Mangalore University from 1998 to 2000. They have also obtained certification as a Factcheck trainer.
