John Colias has extensive work experience spanning various roles and companies. John started their career in 1985 as a Research Economist at BellSouth, where they worked until 1995. From 1995 to 2004, John held the position of Vice President at M/A/R/C Research and The M/A/R/C Group.
In 2004, John joined Decision Analyst as a Senior Vice President. Their role primarily focused on research and development, where they designed and implemented custom quantitative research projects. Their expertise included utilizing advanced metrics and models in areas such as product optimization, market segmentation, competitive analysis, brand development, pricing strategies, predictive modeling, forecasting, and marketing mix modeling.
In addition to their work at Decision Analyst, John also worked as an Affiliate Assistant Professor and Director of the Business Analytics Program at the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas from 2017 to 2022. Prior to this role, they served as an Adjunct Professor at the same institution in 2008 and 2009.
John Colias attended Baylor University from 1975 to 1979, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin from 1979 to 1985. During this time, they obtained a Ph.D. in Economics, specialized in Econometrics and Mathematical Modeling.
