Zulfiqar Hamid

Zulfiqar Hamid is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer and Interim CEO at Deem Finance since January 2022. Previously, Zulfiqar held the position of Head of Credit in Retail Banking at Noor Bank from July 2018 to April 2020. Prior to that, Zulfiqar worked at Barclays Bank from 2006 to 2012 as Managing Director for Retail Risk in Barclays Africa and as Retail Risk Director for Emerging Markets, overseeing the Retail Risk function across 14 countries in Africa, MENA, India, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Zulfiqar's career also includes a role as Consumer Credit Director at Citibank in Pakistan from 1994 to 2006. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Lahore University of Management Sciences and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
