Mateo A. Heras has a long and varied career in the information technology industry. Mateo A. began their career in 1981 as an Assistant Professor of Electronics at the Facultad de Cs. Astronómicas y Geofísicas. Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and then in 1984 they became a Junior Researcher at CONICET. Facultad de Cs. Astronómicas y Geofísicas. Universidad Nacional de La Plata. In 1986, they joined Reuters Ltd. and held various executive and managerial positions in information technology, ranging from Technical Trainee to Technical Manager with growing territorial responsibilities throughout Latin America.
In 2005, they became IT Business Relationship Manager for Argentina and Brazil at Allied Domecq Spirits Wine, and also worked as an Independent Consultant providing telecommunications consultancy and management consultancy. In 2007, they took on the role of Business Manager and Shareholder at C&C Credit Consultant S.A., and in 2008 they became Director and CTO of Primary Trading Solutions S.A. where they were in charge of the IT strategy for the company.
From 2009 to 2019, they were Managing Partner at Tecnosense SRL, a managed service provider responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of turn key IT solutions for mid size regional companies in Latin America. In 2019, they joined Deep BI, Inc. as VP of Business Development for LATAM, an AI powered predictive analytics platform for enterprises. Most recently, in 2022, they became an Executive Consultant for Adobe's Content Authenticity Initiative.
Mateo A. Heras obtained their Telecommunications Engineer degree from Universidad Nacional de La Plata between 1977 and 1983. Mateo A. then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Universidad del CEMA between 2003 and 2005.
