Mee Choi

Mee Choi has worked in the data science field for over 15 years. In 2021, they began working as a Sr. Data Science Chef for Deep Discovery. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Data Science Ninja for Truework from 2020-2021. At Truework, they worked to fix the data economy and improve consumer data rights for employees. Mee also developed a machine learning model for improving an algorithm to automatically identify company’s identity in their database and assisted the product team with A/B testing experimentation. From 2019-2020, they worked as a Data Scientist for LeoLabs, Inc., where they developed a machine learning model to predict maneuver events for LEO satellites. From 2011-2018, they worked as a Co-Founder/CEO for Jinga-hi, Inc., where they developed a machine learning prototype for automated identification of neural activity signals. In 2018, they worked as a Data Science Fellow (Health Science) for Insight Data Science, where they created a web app to help hospitals reduce hospital associated infection rate. From 2006-2011, they worked as a Research Instructor- Neuroscience & Computational Biology for the University of Pittsburgh.

Mee Choi has a Ph.D. in Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
