Kyler Shumway, PsyD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2014, they worked as a Farm Hand for Keuterville Farmers. In the same year, they also started working at George Fox University as a Neuroscience Lab Coordinator, where they managed neuropsychological testing and developed tracking systems for research analytics. From 2014 to 2015, they served as an Assistant Track and Field Coach for the university's team.
In 2016, Kyler joined Yamhill County Public Health as the Behavioral Health Crisis Consultation Team Coordinator, leading a team that provided crisis response and suicide risk assessments. Kyler held this position until 2018.
Starting in 2017, they worked at St. Paul School District, serving as the Assistant Director of the Rural Behavioral Health Consortium. During their time there, they coordinated mental health services for the district and managed a team of clinicians providing care for K-12 students and their families.
From 2018 to 2019, Kyler served as a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Resident at Baylor Scott & White Health, specializing in pediatrics, integrative care, and palliative care. Kyler also worked as a Professional Speaker at the American Psychological Association from 2018 to 2023.
In 2019, Kyler joined Deep Eddy Psychotherapy as a Postdoctoral Fellow and later became a Business & Program Coordinator. In 2020, they started working as an Audible Original Author for Audible. In the same year, they also worked as a Senior Content Contributor for Time2Track until 2022. Kyler's roles at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy continued to evolve, as they became a Psychologist in 2021, the Chief Executive Officer from 2021 to 2023, and currently holds the position of President and Chief Clinical Officer.
Lastly, it should be noted that from 2014 to 2022, Kyler also held the role of SEO Content Director for Marketing For Therapists. org, where they helped therapists build their online presence through marketing and consultation.
Kyler Shumway, PsyD received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Human Development from Duke University between 2010 and 2014. Following this, they obtained a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University from 2014 to 2019. Kyler additionally holds certifications in Health Service Psychology from the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, an Organizational Leadership Program from the American Psychological Association, and Advanced Leadership from Westmont College.
