Nikolaos Lesgidis

Nikolaos Lesgidis, Ph.D., is an experienced lead software engineer specializing in computational mechanics at Deep Excavation LLC since January 2016, where key projects include the development of 2D and 3D finite element analysis modules and foundation analysis software. Previous roles include postdoctoral research at the University of Bristol focused on dynamic load amplification for high-speed rail, and doctoral research in bridge engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where Nikolaos's thesis addressed seismic risk assessment with soil-structure interaction. Additionally, experience encompasses software development for nonlinear pile analysis, teaching assistance in civil engineering courses, and structural engineering responsibilities at ELLHNIKES KATASKEUES EPE, alongside research at the University of Toronto on soil-bridge dynamic systems.
