Alexey Unagaev

Alexey Unagaev has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS and cartography. Alexey is currently working as the Head of GIS at Deep Planet since February 2019. Prior to this, they were a GIS-Specialist in the IT Department at PlanetaTravel from September 2016 to June 2020. Alexey has also worked as a GIS-specialist at John Snow Labs from May 2016 to July 2016 and at Avtodor-SZ from November 2015 to February 2016. Alexey has experience in research and engineering as well, having worked as a Senior Researcher/Lead engineer at A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute (VSEGEI), CRSM from May 2012 to May 2015. Additionally, they have held the position of Lead Cartographer at LIMB JSC from March 2011 to March 2012 and worked as a Cartographer at Aerogeodesia JSC from September 2008 to September 2009.

From 2002 to 2007, they attended Buryat State University. However, the degree obtained during this period is not specified.

From 2007 to 2010, they attended Saint Petersburg State University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Physical geography, biogeography, soil geography, and landscape geochemistry.
