Job description

We are seeking a Head of Product to assist the Chief Product Officer (CPO) in the development of strategic plans, overseeing multiple product lines, leading a team to achieve the Product contributions to corporate Objectives and Key Results, and executing the plan for product line growth. This is a key role on our Product team reporting to the CPO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Head of Product, you will help craft a comprehensive 5-year plan for business growth strategy and performance, leveraging market insights and collaborating with the Commercial Team, Technology Team, and other teams to help develop a market-driven product roadmap that is informed by current and future customer needs.
  • You will have oversight responsibility for multiple product lines, to include: development and execution of the product roadmap, development of measurable action plans and performance metrics to drive product development, and staff management and development.
  • You will lead the development and execution of growth strategies to tailor approaches to specific market segments and customer needs, developing product plans while enhancing employee and customer value propositions, driving competitive analysis, pricing optimization, new product introduction and product training to capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Your role will be pivotal in fostering strong collaboration across the organisation.
  • You will foster a culture of customer-centricity and accountability, empowering teams to make informed decisions and take calculated risks.
  • You will execute continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence, ensuring alignment and consistency across customer business teams and functional leaders.

Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience usually associated with 10 or more years in relevant product specialist roles
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business or related field of education.
  • Experience developing strategic business plans.
  • Experience establishing annual operating plans.
  • P&L accountability experience
  • Experience with product portfolio management
  • Commercial aerospace, space and defense or related experience.
  • Product Marketing Leadership (Pricing, portfolio analysis, etc.)
  • Experience Selling and Marketing through distribution channels.
  • Experience assimilating and analysing complex qualitative and quantitative data for making solid business decisions.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience usually associated with 15 or more years in relevant product specialist roles.
  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
