Abdelhak Mahmoudi started their work experience as a Lecturer of Computer Science at Mohammed V University in Rabat in January 2010. Abdelhak then became an Assistant Professor in May 2015 and later an Associate Professor in December 2019 within the same university. In 2013, Abdelhak worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at LIMIARF, where they applied machine learning algorithms to various real-world applications. In 2014, they joined the National Academy of Sciences as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on developing a sign recognition system for meeting the educational needs of the deaf. In June 2019, Abdelhak became the Co-Founder and CTO of Deepecho.

Abdelhak Mahmoudi has a diverse education history in computer science and physics. Abdelhak received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Physics from Mohammed 1st University in 2004. Abdelhak then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Mohammed V University from 2004 to 2006. Abdelhak continued their studies at Mohammed V University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from 2007 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Abdelhak has also obtained various certifications in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence from Coursera. These certifications include Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning. Furthermore, they attended IBM Skills Academy to enhance their skills in Cloud Application Development in 2017 and as a Big Data Specialist with IBM BigInsights V2.1 in 2015.
