Erik Horton

Erik Horton is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps, currently serving as a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer at Deepwatch since February 2018. At Deepwatch, Erik has successfully deployed a highly available secrets management platform, developed automated service level monitoring, and significantly reduced system downtime through proactive alerting and remediation. Previous roles include Principal Solutions Architect and DevOps Architect, where Erik advanced metrics gathering platforms and optimized deployment strategies. Prior experience with Cognizant involved Splunk administration and infrastructure development, alongside a robust background in web programming, scripting, and network engineering. Erik holds a Bachelor of Technology in Network Administration from Alfred State College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.
