Jason Maurath has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and information security. Jason is currently working at deepwatch as a Principal Solutions Engineer, responsible for providing technical solutions to clients. Prior to this role, Jason worked at deepwatch as a Principal Cyber Threat Hunter.

Before joining deepwatch, Jason was employed at GuidePoint Security as a Threat Hunter, where they played a crucial role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats.

Jason gained significant experience in security operations and engineering during their time at Scottrade. Jason worked as a Security Operations Engineer, performing advanced data analysis and maintaining the Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and Logging infrastructure. Jason also served as a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer, where they designed and implemented various security measures such as security baselines, intrusion protection policies, and host-based firewall policies.

Jason started their career in the field of information security at NCI Information Systems, Inc. as a Security Engineer. Jason then joined Charter Communications as an Enterprise Security Administrator, responsible for assessing vulnerabilities, developing security policies, and providing technical support to the network.

Prior to their career in information security, Jason worked at Best Buy as a Loss Prevention Specialist, where they successfully reduced store shrinkage and received recognition for their performance. Jason also served in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant, specializing in Field Wireman.

Jason Maurath earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in IT Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical in 2005 and then went on to complete a Bachelor's degree in Information System Security from ITT Technical Institute in 2007. Jason obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in July 2010 from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium and the GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) certification in September 2017 from GIAC Certifications.
