Carl Adasa

Carl Adasa has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and managed detection and response services. Currently, they hold the position of VP, Security Operations & Engineering at Deepwatch, where they lead a team to provide 24/7/365 cyber resilience and rapid detection services to enterprises. Prior to this, they worked at Proficio, where they held various roles including VP, Global SOC Operations and Managed Detection & Response, Senior Director, Global SOC Operations and Managed Services, and SOC Director, US Operations. Carl has also worked at Teradata as a Cloud Security Incident Response Manager, at Sony as an Associate Director of Global Security Incident Response, APAC, and at PlayStation as a Manager of the Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC), where they successfully implemented Agile/Scrum processes. Before entering the cybersecurity industry, they gained experience in IT support and network administration roles at Mitchell International, Sempra Utilities, and Re/Max United.

Carl Adasa completed an Associate of Science in Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute in 2007, and later a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security from the same institute in 2009. Carl also obtained several certifications including GIAC - GCIH Certified Incident Handler from GIAC Certifications in 2013, GIAC - GCIA Certified Intrusion Analyst from GIAC Certifications in 2012, HDI Desktop Support Technician from HDI in 2011, and AWS - Security Concepts from Linux Academy.
