Director Lifestyle Marketing at Def Jam Recordings

Joseph Segarra has a diverse work experience in the marketing and promotions field. Joseph began their career as a Radio Promotions Assistant at TVT Records, where they coordinated promotional packages for artists and clients. Joseph then worked at Urban Liberty, where they coordinated promotional campaigns and developed business opportunities.

Segarra later joined Pierce Promotions as an Assistant to Tour Manager, promoting VERIZON FIOS at various grassroots marketing events. Joseph then moved on to Universal Music Group as a Director of Marketing for the Coalition Music Group.

After that, Segarra worked as an Account Manager and Business Development Manager at Alloy Media + Marketing, where they developed integrated engagement plans for Hennessy and Rent-A-Wheel. Joseph also managed budgets, coordinated events, and developed strong client relationships.

Segarra then joined Street Legal Marketing as a Business Development Manager, where they drove the development of plans and programs to meet client needs and managed budgets and forecasts.

Joseph subsequently worked at Octagon Access as a Senior Account Manager, developing integrated engagement plans for Hennessy and presenting concepts to clients. Joseph also managed budgets, coordinated events, and developed personal relationships with clients.

Segarra then joined Hot 97 as a Producer for Street Soliders with Lisa Evers, where they coordinated guests and assisted the Executive Producer with finalizing each show.

Joseph'smost recent role was at Diffused Digital Communication, LLC as a Lifestyle and Multicultural Strategist. Joseph developed marketing strategies and concepts for clients such as Yahoo, Effen Vodka, and Grand Marnier Titanium. Joseph also organized events, implemented influencer strategies, and developed sampling strategies.

Currently, Segarra holds the role of Director of Lifestyle Marketing & Promotions at Def Jam Recordings.

Joseph Segarra attended the University of Hartford from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Advertising and Communication.
