Matt Braughler has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matt started their career as a Professional Baseball Player with Miami Marlins, L.P. from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2003, they worked as a Financial Advisor at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Starting in 2004, they transitioned into the nonprofit sector and held various roles at Trout Unlimited, including Development Director and Managing Director. In 2010, they joined CCS as a Senior Director before becoming the Vice President of Development at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation from 2011 to 2014. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at The Pew Charitable Trusts as the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships for the Pew Research Center. Matt then joined National Geographic, where they served as the Vice President of Philanthropic Partnerships from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Philanthropy at Defenders of Wildlife, which they assumed in 2020.
Matt Braughler completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management (Sports) at Indiana University Bloomington in 1998.
