Adam Barrett

Adam Barrett has over 20 years of experience in product management, product design, and operations analysis. Adam began their career in 1998 as an Operations Analyst for Providian Financial. In 2005, they joined Pegasystems Inc. as a Senior Product Manager, where they were responsible for the Pega SmartDispute framework. Adam was later promoted to Principal Product Manager, where they managed the product road map and supervised day to day development activities. In 2011, they joined Adeptra as a Product Manager and was later acquired by FICO® in 2012, where they were promoted to Director of Product Management. Adam was responsible for the FICO Customer Communication Services platform and for automating two-way customer interactions. In 2019, they joined Oportun as a Senior Technical Product Manager, working with data scientists and software engineers to protect customers with machine learning and customer-centric strategies. Currently, they are a Senior Product Manager at DefenseStorm, where they launched CyberFraud, a solution designed to proactively detect scams and account takeover before fraud and money laundering transactions take place.

Adam Barrett graduated from Clemson University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management. Adam later obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance and an Agile Product Owner certification from Agile.
