Ed Jones

Ed Jones has worked in a variety of roles in the commercial sphere, most notably as Business Development Director at inspiresport and Managing Director at Pro-Ex Football Tours. In their current role as Chief Commercial Officer at DeGould, they are responsible for the company's overall commercial strategy.

Jones began their career as a lecturer at various colleges and universities. Ed then transitioned into the business world, taking on a series of increasingly senior roles. Their first major role was as Business Development Director at inspiresport, where they were responsible for new business development, account management, commercial strategy, business operations, product development, recruitment and management, business systems and process development.

In 2012, Jones was appointed Managing Director of Pro-Ex Football Tours. In this role, they oversaw the company's operations and was responsible for its financial performance. Ed successfully navigated the company through a period of growth and expansion, culminating in its sale to DeGould in 2016.

Since joining DeGould, Jones has been instrumental in shaping the company's commercial strategy. Ed has played a key role in securing long-term financial stability for the company through a share raise investment and refinancing. Ed has also overseen a period of change management, including stakeholder investment and re-alignment, new management, staffing cuts and changes, recruitment, resolutions and legal entity changes.

Ed Jones earned their Master's degree in Sports Development and Coaching from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sports Development from the same school. Ed has also completed a short course in International Business Management from Stanford University.

Ed Jones reports to Mathew Holloway, CEO. A direct report to Ed Jones is and Becca Duckering - Marketing Manager. They work with Samuel Bird - Product Manager, Benjamin Jones - Head of Machine Learning, and Dominic Start - Head of Software.
