Janne Villumsen

Janne Villumsen has over 30 years of work experience in the software development and wind energy industry. Janne currently holds the position of Vice President, Portfolio & Project Management and Specialists at DEIF since February 2021. Prior to this, they served as the CTO at EC POWER A/S for almost nine years from October 2012 to January 2021. Janne also worked at Vestas Manufacturing, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Vestas Wind Systems, Carl Bro A/S, Terma Elektronik A/S, and Carlo Gavazzi A/S (aka. Electromatic) in various software development and management roles. Notably, at Vestas Manufacturing, they held multiple director-level positions, including Test Design & Integration, Knowledge & Innovation, and Quality Management. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in test design, quality management, project management, and software development.

Janne Villumsen has a diverse education history. In 1987 to 1990, they obtained a B.Sc. E.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus. Prior to that, in 1982 to 1985, they earned a Baccalaureate degree with a focus on Mathematical/Physics from Langkær Gymnasium. Janne also completed a variety of professional certifications, including becoming a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist in 2020 and receiving certifications in Lean Portfolio Management from Scaled Agile, Inc. in both 2022 and 2023. They have also undertaken additional educational programs and workshops throughout their career, such as board education, organizational leadership, leadership development, project management, and software training, acquiring valuable skills and expertise in these areas.
