Hunter Carter

Hunter Carter is an Assistant Public Defender at Dekalb County Public Defender since December 2023, following a role as an Assistant Solicitor at DeKalb County Solicitor-General's Office from August to December 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Student Attorney at Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center, where important contributions involved legal research for parole revocation cases and litigating a §1983 claim. Hunter also gained legal experience as a Legal Intern at Hall County Solicitor’s Office and O'Kelley and Sorohan, as well as working as a Property Manager at Summer Historic Acquisitions. Hunter Carter holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Georgia.
