H. Jose G.

H. Jose G. has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. H. Jose currently holds the position of Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability at Del Monte Foods, Inc. Their responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of environmental programs and policies. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Environmental Sustainability Engineering at the same company.

Before joining Del Monte Foods, Inc., H. Jose G. worked at Bachem as the Executive Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental. In this role, they led seven location management teams in developing and implementing safety programs and policies. H. Jose also focused on corporate social responsibility measures and improvements in industrial hygiene.

From 2008 to 2019, H. Jose G. was employed at Smithfield Foods as the Manager of Environmental Affairs. H. Jose was responsible for directing environmental affairs for multiple facilities and played an active role in community workshops and committees. H. Jose also contributed to policy development and produced intellectual products for management and public distribution.

Prior to their role at Smithfield Foods, H. Jose G. founded Environmental Management Enterprises in 2004. H. Jose also served as a Senior Environmental Consultant at Winefield & Associates and as an Associate Environmental Health and Safety Consultant at Ecotek.

H. Jose G. began their career as an Environmental Engineer Technician at Regional Water Quality Control in 1995.

H. Jose G. obtained a Doctorate in Business Administration with a field of study in Environmental Science from Columbia Southern University between 2018 and 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science in Management and Leadership Theory at Western Governors University from 2016 to 2017, and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Business Administration/Leadership from the same institution between 2014 and 2016. They also received training in Leadership Communication from Dale Carnegie - Los Angeles in 2013. In terms of undergraduate education, H. Jose G. earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach from 1997 to 2002. They also completed an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from EAST LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY COLLEGE between 1990 and 1996. Lastly, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Biology from the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1994.
