Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct SI, PI, and high-speed interface measurements and analysis on a variety of hardware components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform power consumption measurements and analyze results to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment, including VNAs, TDRs, oscilloscopes, and power measurement tools.
  • Design and implement test setups and procedures for SI, PI, high-speed interfaces, and power consumption validation.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback and recommendations based on test results, including power consumption and power supply considerations.
  • Document test results, create reports, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices related to SI, PI, high-speed interfaces, power integrity, and power supply concepts.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any hardware issues related to SI, PI, high-speed interfaces, power consumption, and power supplies.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve testing methodologies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Industry experience in hardware validation, with a focus on SI, PI, high-speed interfaces, power consumption measurement, and power supply concepts (LDO and SMPS).
  • Familiarity with S-parameter definition.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Allegro PCB layout tool and Schematic.
  • Proficient in using VNAs, TDRs, oscilloscopes, and power measurement equipment.
  • Strong understanding of signal and power integrity principles, challenges, and solutions, as well as high-speed interface technologies.
  • Experience/Understanding of PDN (Power Distribution Network) test methodology, including DC resistance, AC impedance, and power consumption measurements.
  • Knowledge of calibration and de-embedding in measurements.
  • Comfortable with scripting and programming in languages like Python, Matlab, or other relevant languages for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to SI, PI, high-speed interfaces, power integrity, and power supply design (LDO and SMPS).
  • Understanding of power supply concepts, including voltage regulation, efficiency, and noise mitigation techniques in LDO and SMPS designs.
