Sultan Mahmood BSc MBA has extensive work experience, beginning with their role as a Cardiac/Diabetes Care Specialist at Pfizer in 1993. In 2007, they worked as a Hospital Specialist at Eli Lilly and a Sales and Marketing Manager at Ifonetelecom Ltd. From 2008 to 2016, they were a Customer Relationship Manager and Country Manager at Medtronic Spine & Biologics. From 2010 to 2019, they were a Business Development Manager at Prostrakan/Kyowa Hakko Kirin. Since 2019, they have been a Market Access & Reimbursement Manager at Sequana Medical NV. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Senior Commercial Director EMEA and Country Manager UK and Ireland at Delcath Systems.

Sultan Mahmood completed a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from the University of Wolverhampton in 1992. In 1999, they earned a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of Bradford School of Management. In 2020, they obtained a Health Technology Assessment certification from The University of Sheffield.
