Viola Lanier, PhD, MSc

Viola Lanier, PhD, MSc has a wealth of work experience. Viola began their career as a Middle School Science Teacher at Atlanta Public Schools in 2008. In 2012 and 2013, they were a High School Science Summer Academy Teacher at Morehouse School of Medicine. In 2015, they were a Medical News Unit Intern at CNN, where they investigated companies and participants to be featured in medical news stories, wrote and published medical news stories, and provided pre-taping support for the AC360 primetime show. In 2017, they were a Medical News Writer at Medical News Bulletin and a Field Application Specialist Consultant and Field Applications Specialist at Xstrahl. In 2019, they were an Interventional Oncology Field Application Scientist at Boston Scientific. In 2020, they were an Interventional Oncology Therasphere S. Specialist and Radiomics Subject Matter Expert at Boston Scientific and SOPHiA GENETICS, respectively. In 2022, they are a Medical Science Liaison at Delcath Systems.

Viola Lanier has a Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences - Cancer Biology from Morehouse School of Medicine, obtained between 2012 and 2016. Viola also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Research from Morehouse School of Medicine, obtained between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, they hold a Collaborative Institutional Training Certificate / Institutional Review Board Certificate, obtained in August 2015, a Certified HIPPA Professional, obtained in December 2013, and is a Co-Investigator at the Institutional Review Board at Morehouse School of Medicine.
