Tacey Derenzy, APR

Tacey Derenzy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Tacey started their own company, Derenzy PR & Communications, in 2013, where they serve as the owner. In this role, they are responsible for managing all aspects of public relations and communications.

In 2015, Tacey began working as a Communications Consultant at Delegata, where they provide expertise and guidance on effective communication strategies.

From 2009 to 2012, Tacey held the position of Manager, Project Communications at the California Public Employees' Retirement System. Prior to that, Tacey worked as a Health Program Specialist at the California Department of Health Services from 1998 to 2004. In this role, they were responsible for managing multiple tobacco control public relations and advertising campaigns.

Tacey's earlier work experience includes roles such as Communications Specialist at Rogers & Associates, Community Development Specialist/Disaster Public Affairs at the American Red Cross, and Communications Manager at Schools Insurance Authority.

Tacey Derenzy, APR, has a diverse education history. In 1974, they attended Utah State University where they studied Journalism. The following year, from 1975 to 1976, they pursued Journalism at Brigham Young University. In 1981, Tacey attended Defense Information School to further enhance their skills and knowledge in Journalism. Later, in 2004, they obtained a Certificate in Public Relations Specialized Studies from UC Davis Extension.
