Luis José Almaguer's work experience includes:

- Sr Process Engineer at Delft IMP since March 2023.

- Process Engineer at The Chemours Company from August 2019 to February 2023. In this role, they were responsible for R&D and ATO engineering in the Filtration and Drying areas. Luis José successfully reduced natural gas consumption in drying areas by 5% compared to 2019. Additionally, they were involved in grade stewardship for laminates and plastics segments, ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

- Project Leader & Design Engineer and Project Engineer at CODSA from September 2015 to August 2019.

- Freelance work at CIEN Neuroacadémico from April 2014 to April 2015.

- Freelance work at Equipol from August 2013 to May 2014.

Luis José Almaguer completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2009. Luis José then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Energy Engineering with a specialization in Process Design from the same institution between 2013 and 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Luis José Almaguer also obtained a certification in Carbon Markets from ANIQ in October 2020.
