Your Impact

As an Analytics Engineer at Deliverect, you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that fuels our advanced analytics and business intelligence (BI) capabilities. Your work will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and actionable nature of our data.

A Typical Day

  • Utilize tools like Apache Airflow to orchestrate data pipeline workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand evolving data needs.
  • Translate these requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Implement robust data validation and cleaning processes to ensure data quality and consistency throughout the analytics pipeline.
  • Utilize tools like dbt for data quality checks and data transformation.
  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas that effectively support comprehensive reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Leverage tools like BigQuery for data warehousing and schema management.
  • Gain a working knowledge of Deliverect's data architecture and core business processes. This will allow you to tailor data solutions to our specific needs.
  • Provide proactive support and troubleshooting for data-related issues faced by internal teams.
  • Remain updated on the latest trends and best practices in data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud technologies.

Your Expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in data-related fields (e.g., data analytics, data science, data engineering).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Proven skills in data visualization tools like Looker and Data Studio.
  • Experience with data modeling techniques and tools for designing efficient data structures.
  • Solid understanding of ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in Python - any other programming language is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS Redshift, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of data quality management principles and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Ghent office and 2 days of remote work. Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills being essential.
