John Zhang has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John currently works at Deliverr Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist, leading the data science team for Growth. John's initial work experience was at Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products as a Software Developer. Here, they implemented voice commands and dictation for medical dictation software, as well as wrote GUI for an NLP processor.

John Zhang has a diverse education history. John began their academic journey at Beijing University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from 1987 to 1991. John then pursued higher education at The University of Chicago, where they earned a Ph.D. in Physics from 1991 to 1998. During this time, they also acquired a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution, from 1996 to 1998. Later, John attended The University of Rochester, Simon Business School, where they pursued an M.B.A. degree in Finance and Marketing from 2001 to 2006.
