️ Jon Dawes

Jon Dawes has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. ☁️ Jon is currently working as a Senior Solution Engineer at Delphix since December 2022. Prior to this, they were a Technology Strategist at NetApp Australia & New Zealand from December 2021 to December 2022.

Jon also worked at VMware as a Senior Solution Engineer from January 2018 to November 2021. Before that, they held multiple roles at Virtual Machine Technology (VMtech), including Enterprise Architect & Product Manager, Solutions Architect, and Manager of Solutions Architecture between 2013 and 2017.

Earlier in their career, Jon worked at National Technologies Group as a Technology Specialist from July 2010 to February 2013. ☁️ Jon also gained experience as a Systems Administrator at GMO from October 2006 to June 2010.

Jon's work experience also includes a role as an IT Support Technician at Leading Edge Computers from January 2005 to July 2005. ☁️ Jon started their career at Zurich Financial Services, where they held various positions such as IS Help Desk Operator, IT Security Administrator, and IS Help Desk Operator / IT Security Administrator from 2001 to 2004.

Before entering the technology industry, Jon was a Sales Advice Specialist at MYOB from May 2000 to June 2001. Overall, Jon Dawes has a strong background in solution engineering and a wide range of experience in the technology sector.

Jon Dawes completed the MBA Essentials - Online Certificate program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2020. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with Distinction at Charles Sturt University. In 2001 and 2002, they obtained an IT Certificate IV in Information Technology (Network Management) with Distinction from TAFE New South Wales – North Sydney Institute. Alongside their education, Jon also holds several certifications, including Delphix Pre-Sales Engineering - Solution Engineer and Delphix Pre-Sales Engineering - Pre-Sales Engineer from Delphix in 2023 and 2022 respectively. Additionally, they are certified in The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Foundation in 2020 from The Open Group, Double VCP – Data Center Virtualization & Network Virtualization in 2019 from VMware, CompTIA Security+ Certification in 2021 from CompTIA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in 2020 from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in 2020 from Microsoft.
