Jason Smith

Jason Smith is a highly experienced nursing professional with a diverse background in clinical practice, education, and leadership. Currently serving as a Post Doctoral Wounded Healer Fellow in Psychiatric Nursing at Delta Specialty Hospital since June 2023, Jason has a strong focus on improving mental health care. Prior experience includes roles as a Covid Crisis Nurse and Travel Nurse with Maxim Healthcare, Program Director for the Nursing Career Pathway Program at Remington College, and Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of North Alabama. With significant experience in critical care, nursing education, and program development, Jason has also held leadership positions at various institutions, including Bell Tech Institute and The College of Health Care Professions. Educational achievements include a Master's Degree in Nursing Case Management and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Population Health from The University of Alabama.
