Job Description

DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering investigates motor vehicle collisions through a team approach by involving senior-level and associate-level engineering staff on each assignment. Our associate engineers play a critical role in conducting fieldwork and performing analysis using the latest technologies in 3D laser scanning, drones, and computer simulations. They also work closely with our senior engineers in presenting accurate and compelling results to our clients, and at times, supporting our senior engineers who are asked to testify in court. 

We are actively seeking energetic Biomechanics Associate Engineers for our Charlotte office. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidates who will have the opportunity to work with our existing senior-level professionals to be a key contributor in developing and growing the Biomechanics service offering within DELTA |v|. This opportunity involves some regional travel. The candidate must enjoy working in a high-energy environment and being outdoors. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) with an emphasis on Injury Biomechanics.

  • Knowledge in the areas of:

    • Biomechanics
      • Injury Causation
      • Injury Threshold
  • Experience in the use of CAD, FE modeling, and computational simulation is highly desired

  • Available to travel regionally

  • Comfortable working on a team and in a collaborative space

  • Positive attitude full of commitment and a desire to contribute both to the company and our Biomechanics service offerings

  • Ability and desire to learn
